Archives

The Better Buffy Fiction Archive
This is the archive for BetterBuffyFics, the Buffyverse-wide fanfiction recommendation list. Though unaffiliated with our list or archive, they're the people we've been inspired by and on whom we've patterned our recommendation system. The stories located on their archive (gen, het, and slash, all types) have been recommended, discussed, and voted on as some of the finest fanfiction in the Buffyverse.

BtVS Slash
This is the archive for stories posted on the btvsslash mailing list -- stories featuring any slash pairing or grouping (m/m or f/f) from Buffy or Angel.

The Buffy Fanfiction Archive
This is a central archive for all Buffyverse fanfiction (gen, het, and slash, all types), where authors may upload their own stories. The associated mailing list (which one only has to join if one wishes to post a story to it as well as upload to the archive) is BFA-L.

The UnConventional Shippers List Archive
Also known as UCSL, this is the archive for stories posted on the UCSL mailing list -- stories of any pairing, slash or het, as long as it was not a pairing seen on Buffy or Angel at the time the story is set. So, Angel/Wes = yes, Angel/Faith = yes, Angel/Buffy = no, unless set at a time when they weren't actually together on the show.

Other Sites of Interest

The BtVS Writers' Guild
This is an excellent resource for writers and readers in the Buffyverse. The Guild site is a central collection point for links to writing advice sites (most of which are also story archives) for specific pairings (het and slash), main characters, and genres (dark, poetry, challege, comedy...).

Slash Online
A resource site for slash lovers in any fandom, featuring links to archives, essays, recommendations, and writing advice.

The Slash Page Database Project
A cross-fandom database of slash-related pages, including both story archives and informational sites.

Minotaur's Sex Tips For Slash Writers
A well-respected resource site for slash writers in all fandoms, and just what the title says it is. Specifically, advice and opinions from a gay male slash fan on writing m/m sex. With explicit details and m/m photos of the nekkid-and-up-to-something variety, so be warned.

The FanFiction Symposium
A great collection of essays on all types of fanfiction, including slash. What makes it good or bad, what we like, why we like it, how writers and readers interact. There's a submission form to submit your own essays, and an associated Livejournal forum for discussing and responding to the essays.
